The legendary three-row SUV enters 2024 in an even better shape. Official prices for the Canadian market aren’t out yet. Still, we already know quite a lot about the 2024 Dodge Durango. Here’s what you can expect from Durango’s newest version.
Notable Changes From The Previous Year
The Tow N Go Package, previously available for R/T and above models, is also standard for the Citadel. The new Citadel also borrows a few design features from SRT models and boasts best-in-class towing capacity. Additionally, the blind spot monitoring system is now standard across the lineup and the Trailer Tow Group, which includes the Trailer Detection Function.

Performance Specs
The new lineup comes with four powerful engines and best-in-class capabilities. The Hellcat has the most muscular powertrain, although official figures for towing capacity haven’t come out yet. This beast can jump from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.
The 6.2-litre HEMI has a dedicated cooling system to keep the engine’s temperature up to 60ºC and electronic bypass valves controlling pressure. This engine also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission with TorqueFlite 8HP95 and seven driving modes:
Auto, Snow, Sport, Tow, Track, Valet and Eco. The SRT 392 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and has the best towing capacity in its class. In contrast, base models have the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, an award-winning powertrain.
Design Elements
The interior design received updates across the lineup. They include new lines for the driver-centric cockpit, centre console, instrument panel, and front door uppers for seat memory switches. Heated front seats are also standard across the lineup. The remodelled instrument panel is wrapped and has accent-stitch mid-bolsters in all models.
SRT tires and wheels have also been updated, and now they count on Red Brambo brakes. Available features include LED headlamps and daytime running lamps, rear spoilers, a sculpted hood, and a front fascia that borrows its looks from the Charger Widebody.
Technology And Safety Features
The new Durango is expected to bring even more advanced technology and safety, plus a host of infotainment features. Available tech features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect 5 system. This system has SiriusXM, TomTom navigation, and wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There’s also a well-rounded suite of safety features packed with advanced brake assist, forward collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, lane sense, and lane departure warning equipped with lane keep assist.
